About Me

Born and raised in the Boston area, I moved across the country to attend college at UC Berkeley. Initially interested in pursuing a Cognitive Studies degree, I soon found myself more and more entranced by my childhood passion for storytelling, eventually pivoting to a Theater and English double major and ultimately accomplishing the rare feat of performing on the Zellerbach Main Stage all four years of my collegiate career.

During my senior year, I was graced with two big breaks. First, the university’s theater department bestowed me with the prestigious Mark Goodson Prize for Distinguished Theatrical Talent. Then, a Presidential Medal of the Arts recipient offered me my first professional acting job.

At the invitation of one of my professors, Luis Valdez came to see my final college performance – as the lead of Philip Kan Gotanda‘s After the War Blues – and afterwards expressed an interest in working with me. A few months later, he cast me to play ‘Joe Yamaguchi’ in Valley of the Heart, the first new play by the “Father of Chicano Theatre” in over a decade.

Since that first gig, I have been lucky enough to work opposite amazing talents like Carrie Coon, Jeremy Strong, and Levar Burton; to receive direction from respected skippers like Ben Stiller, Tricia Brock, and John Cameron; and to study under phenomenal teachers like Sharon Chatten, John Homa, and, most recently, Michael Woolson.

More notably, I’ve had the good fortune to keep growing in my craft. Over the past few years, I’ve gotten to explore the playfulness of sci-fi universes (Jordan Peele’s Weird City, Ivy Liao’s Cupid’s Paradise) and the grittiness of earthly life (Succession, HBO’s inaugural Visionaries Competition winner Monday), to bounce from oddball comedies (Fargo, Curb Your Enthusiasm) to pulpy thrillers (How To Get Away With Murder), and to expand my acting horizons – on stage, on screen, and in the booth – with gigs based across America and around the world.

I currently split my time between the East and West Coast of the U.S. and am repped by 3Arts, Momentum, and Innovative. I’m excited to keep working on my craft and am looking forward to seeing what other blessings this journey has to offer.
